Committees

The real work of the Coalition gets done in working committees. Each focuses independently on issues important for the County's children and families.

Community Advisory Committee

The Community Advisory Board, which is made up of both Coalition leaders and community members, provides general oversight and guidance for Coalition activities and meets four times per year to:

  1. Assure that the Coalition is adhering to our Vision and Mission
  2. Oversee major community events, i.e. Teen Gift Drive, Forum, etc.
  3. Provide insight/feedback assistance on Coalition Projects/Initiatives

Children's Mental Health Advisory Board

The Children's Mental Health Advisory Board oversees a number of initiatives aimed at improving children's mental health services, including: training of area health and mental health providers (via Collaborative Office Rounds), Feelin' Groovy (Emotional Literacy Project), and web-based resources for linking parents with needed services for their children (via web-based children's behavioral health resource guide)

Child Care & After-School
Programming Workgroup

The Child Care & After-School Programming Workgroup has been focusing on providing local trainings for staff, easing transitions to school, and obtaining mental health consultation for children presenting with behavioral issues.

Workgroup members include representatives from:

WCCC Operations Committee

The Coalition's Operations Committee meets monthly to oversee the Coalition's Finances, Membership, Communications, and Data Tracking functions.
